Myrna & Jeff Rohr Facilitators
Mossyrock Assembly has started a new ministry for our Widows & Widowers. Myrna (DeMarco) Rohr with her husband Jeff are facilitating this ministry. If you need to connect to others who have lost their spouses please contact the church office to get in touch with Myrna.
Myrna was widowed several years ago. Her husband Tony was ill for several years before he passed on in 2006. Myrna has 3 children - two of them were school age at the time of Tony's passing. Through her faith in God and good friends, Myrna has been able to meet life head on with joy in the Lord and the comfort of knowing Tony is with our Lord. In May of 2007 Myrna traveled with a group of women to Macedonia and was able to minister to other women her journey through grief. She has since met and married the 2nd man in her life whom she has falling in love with, Jeff Rohr. Myrna and Jeff would like to spend time getting to know and planning events for those who have and are still dealing with the loss of a spouse.
Myths of Being Single
Single adults are lonely - It is true that some single adults are lonely, but it certainly does not take being single to be lonely. The loneliest person in your hometown is not a single adult, but a married adult who is in a terrible marriage!
Single adults want to get married - Some single adults do want to marry, as would married adults if they were single! I would rather they look in a church with a ministry to single adults, however, than in the world. Chances of finding a dedicated Christian are usually higher!
Single men are irresponsible - Some are; then again, some married men are also! It does not take being single to be irresponsible. Just talk to the wives of some of the married men in your city.
